
Johannes Gutenberg was born in the German city of Mainz ( c. 1398 ) a blacksmith, goldsmith, publisher, and invented the world’s first printing press. His invention has a great contribution in world of technology it mean so much and led to the mass production of books being them more available to the general public. The high capacity of his invention the printing press 42 lines could be printed at once dramatically reducing the Labour and cost of creating books and helped ideas spread fast and widely. The printing press of Gutenberg helped provide an economical way to share ideas and knowledge in a affordable way for ordinary people. Gutenberg died in February 1468 and was buried in a church in his hometown of Mainz. Over 300, 000 pamphlets were produced during his life time.
